Rimmel Only Makeup Look #londonlook

Sunday, January 03, 2016

Rimmel currently have an international competition running, for the chance to win an amazing prize - to meet Rita Ora, and work with Rimmel London makeup artists to create a YouTube makeup tutorial at the YouTube space in London..wowee!

I saw this as a great excuse to do a Rimmel-only makeup challenge, I tend to have some daily Rimmel products I use, but have never thought to try a brand-only makeup look before, so what a great reason to do so! If you would like to vote for me that would be lovely, you can do so here by clicking the crown by my picture http://uk.rimmellondon.com/entry/entry-2119

I have highlighted four of my favourite products which I used to create this look..

Foundation - Instead of my usual 'heavy' foundation I would use for a night-out look, I instead used the Rimmel BB cream beauty balm in Matte Light. It has a lovely lightweight feel but a surprisingly good coverage to it, I have actually once picked up a smaller sample size of this product too which I always save in my makeup bag for touch ups!

Blusher - Another makeup bag essential (the size is perfect!) is the blusher I used, Wake Me Up in Radient Rose. It has a lovely dewy, natural appearance and as its a cream, it doesn't sit heavily on your makeup, it just blends in really nicely.

Eyeliner - This is one that I keep going back to time and time again, The Liquid Exaggerate Eyeliner. The applicator is like a felt tip, but as its a dip pot you have control over how much liner you apply at once (I find this handy when applying over heavy eyeshadow so, a dip pot has the edge over a liner pen every time for looks like this!) it has a lovely finish that's not too shiny and doesn't crack.

Lips - I have used three products for this lip look, firstly I used the exaggerate lipliner in addiction, then smoothed over some lasting finish lipstick in pink blush (this is one of those lippies I have re-bought time again as the texture and wear for the money is pretty unbeatable) and to finish off I used one of the apocalips glosses in Comet.

I will be doing this look again in the near future, as Christmas party season hasn't quite drawn to a close just yet..! Hope you all had a fab Christmas and new year!
